Where to begin

in service, worship, and love
Go to Encountering God

Encountering God

Together we encounter God in many ways, one of them is worship. You are invited to join in our weekly worship at 9 a.m. on Sunday.

Go to Loving Christ

Loving Christ

Being part of a community of faith means participation in the communal worship life and our works of service in and with our community. However, it also means being part of a community that learns and grows. Join us for Sunday School at 10 a.m. or for Youth Fellowship on Sunday at 5 p.m. or any number of the Bible Studies or small groups that regularly meet.

Go to Serving the Community

Serving the Community

Join us as we engage the needs in our community. Together we work to ease the burden of hunger, the need for school supplies, and much more as we seek to embody the love of Christ for our neighbors.

What We Believe

with a side of history
"The best of all is, God is with us." John Wesley

Vilonia United Methodist Church is a vibrant congregation in Vilonia, Arkansas. Despite experiencing two tornadoes, we continue to walk with Christ as we work toward God's Kingdom. In the last tornado which ripped through our community, the church building was destroyed; however, the church was not. God made beautiful things out of the dust and debris. We are revived to do God’s work in and with the surrounding community. We hope to be a place where people encounter, love, and serve God alongside us. God has been faithful and gracious toward us and we want to share what we have experienced. As a United Methodist congregation, we profess the Christian faith as contained in the Old and New Testaments. We believe that the Bible, together with tradition, reason and experience, guide us to understand our faith. We celebrate the sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion after the example of Jesus Christ. We welcome all persons to join us for worship, regardless of their faith background or beliefs. Through our worship we seek to give praise and thanks to God and to seek guidance as to the ways in which we, as individuals and as a community of faith, can be in service to God and to the world. We encourage all persons to discover their gifts and to use them to serve as active partners in our ministries. We do hope you join us as we encounter, love, and serve God.

While all are called to be in ministry some are given some specific gifts. Here are some of the people who serve our church in specific roles.
